Calbarrie continues its expansion through the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Phoenix Precision Electric, a competitor based in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

The combined business now provides a broader range of services (PAT testing, fixed wire testing, harmonics and load testing, thermographic testing, fire alarm and fire extinguisher testing and maintenance plus emergency lighting testing and supply) on a national level.

Bringing together the best parts of two very successful businesses; Calbarrie has provided safety services for over 35 years with a range of clients that include the MOD, BBC, local authorities and many of the nations police forces, whilst Phoenix is recognised for its quality service in fixed wire testing and new technologies such as thermographic surveying.

Further, the team will continue to learn from each other, developing an improved service thanks to the implementation of Phoenix’s PDA system which records all site visits and provides online reports.

The client list for the enlarged Calbarrie now includes; Interserve, Carillion, Amey, plus numerous NHS trusts, police forces and councils.

The talent will also see Calbarrie continue to expand it’s offer and investigate new services around energy management and health & safety testing.
