What is it?
A thermal imaging camera identifies ‘hotspots’ in electrical assets like distribution boards and switchgear. The non-intrusive fault-finding survey is undertaken when you are at your busiest, in order to assess equipment performance when under maximum load – the time when you need it most and when it is most likely to fail.
Why do I need it?
Heat build-up is an indication of an electrical fault that can be caused by poor mechanical connections, poor electrical contact, circuit overloading, inadequate ventilation or broken parts in the equipment itself. By locating the problem quickly, you are better placed to reduce the risk of fault, fire and a costly disruption to your business.
Electrical units can be interrogated without the need to shut them down, saving you both time and money.
This service should be used to support an existing inspection and testing regime and not to replace it.

How does Calbarrie deliver this service?
“The thermographic survey adds greatly to our confidence in the building’s systems. And it was easy: no mess, and no need to stop work around it – in fact the complete opposite.”
